Women’s Business Development Center-Minnesota to Host 8th Annual Celebration of Success

Timed to coincide with Women’s History Month, the Women’s Business Development Center – Minnesota (WBDC-MN) will host its 8th Annual Celebration of Success at the University of Minnesota’s McNamara Alumni Center, Memorial Hall, 200 Oak Street Southeast, in Minneapolis, on Thursday, March 6, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Emilia DiMenco, of Chicago, president and CEO of the Women’s Business Development Center, is the featured speaker.
During the event, Heather Manley, president of On-Demand Group, Inc., will receive the 2013 WBE of the Year Award. Other honorees are the City of St. Paul and Readus Fletcher, its Deputy Director of Department of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity, 2013 Advocacy Award; Kathryn Mazon, Senior Business Development Lead of Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Diversity, Target Corporation, 2013 Giving Back Award; University of Minnesota and Craig Taylor, Director of the Office for Business & Community Economic Development, 2013 Corporate Partner of the Year Award.
The annual celebration was created to honor the achievements of the more than 350 local women who are certified as Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) and to recognize corporate and community partners and volunteers of the WBDC-MN.
