The Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) protects the privacy of its clients and participants in its annual events. The WBDC will not share the contact information of its clients with any third party. All submitted information is used only for the purposes for which it is intended. We do not share personal information with anyone for their promotional or marketing use without users’ consent.
What information we collect through our website.
• Personal Information - Information that would allow someone to identify or contact clients including full name, address, telephone number, and email address. Personal information does not include aggregated information that, by itself, does not permit the identification of any one individual. We may use the personal information collected through our website to provide users with information or newsletters related to our services, and to promote our services beneficial to small businesses. This may include sending out information and promotions via email, postal mail, fax, or telephone calls.
• IP Addresses - Users may browse through the website without providing us with any personal information. We, however, collect IP (Internet Protocol) addresses and browsing habits (such as pages viewed and other data) to help us analyze traffic on the website (Google analytics). With this data we learn about the number of visitors to our site and the types. We never track or record information about individuals and their visits and we do not share this data with anyone outside WBDC.
• WBDC uses social media tools to interact with its customers and resource partners. Social media websites are used to publicize WBDC’s programs and services and engage with members of the public. WBDC does not use third party websites to solicit and collect personal information from individuals. Any personal information collected by a third party website will not be transmitted to WBDC.
• To attend workshops and events users are required to complete a registration form. This registration form will request certain personal information about the website user like credit card information. We protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration or disclosure by using industry-recognized security safeguards.
• Our website contains links to websites of other public and private organizations. When users follow a link to another site, they leave the WBDC site and their website interactions are no longer protected by our privacy policy. WBDC is not responsible for, and does not endorse the privacy or security practices and content of sites to which the website links.
