"The WBDC 12 Week Business Certificate Program provided me with the education, tools, and resources I needed to get my business off the ground, and keep it running."
Blockhead Bath, a specialty bath & body brand focused on the travel market, was founded in 2002 by Cindy Page, former First Step Fast Track student. Blockhead Bath products and packaging are designed to be enjoyed on the road or at home, including no-mess solid lotion bars, soy candle tins, and whipped shea butter in sliding tins. Ms Page’s fragrances are inspired by exciting destinations around the world such as Hamptons Hideaway (ocean rain), Fuji Soothie (Japanese green tea), and Tuscan Seduction (Ms Page’s custom romance blend). Customers may read about Blockhead Bath’s exciting destinations through cultural travel essays printed on select products.
Blockhead Bath supports its mission to inspire multicultural awareness through the Blockhead Bath Study Abroad Scholarship. Launched in spring 2004 at Ms Page’s alma mater, the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany, the scholarship helps fund study abroad expenses for deserving female undergraduate students. This year’s recipients studied business management in Valencia, Spain.
Ms Page, a former assistant buyer for a major department store chain, has spent over ten years in corporate education consulting. Thrilled to travel internationally with her consulting career, she cultivated a deep passion for experiencing other cultures and countries. She also noticed a lack of bath & body products dedicated to the traveler. Ms Page combined her passion for travel with creative ideas for bath & body travel solutions to create Blockhead Bath.
Blockhead Bath distributes its products direct to consumers through its online store at www.blockheadbath.com as well as through specialty retailers, including amazon.com’s newly launched Beauty store.
Ms Page credits her start with the training she received at the WBDC.
