Red 7 Salon has been a client of the WBDC since 2002 when owners David Kafer and Jason Hall were just beginning to write their business plan. Jason participated in the Jump Start class series and also used the WBDC loan packaging services. Red 7 Salon secured start-up financing from Accion Chicago and opened their doors in May of 2002.
Since that time they have become true success stories. They have had a 400% jump in revenues since their first month. The clientele has increased by 300%. Red 7 Salon now employs 13 people, including stylists, colorists, nail technicians and management staff. After only 2.5 years, they have repaid their initial start-up loan and have moved-on to National City Bank, which will help them with their growth and expansion plans for the next 2.5 years.
Red 7 Salon was featured in BEST OF Chicago Magazine as Best New Salon of 2004. And most recently, the salon was featured in Allure Magazine as being the Chicago leader in make-up services. The WBDC congratulates Red 7 Salon. |
