Terri Shapiro is Executive Director of Brand & Media Relations for Deluxe Corporation in Minnesota. Through much of her career she worked for very large companies with big marketing budgets, and directed national marketing, advertising and public relations programs. Prior to joining Deluxe in 2009, she had her own boutique consulting firm.
While it is a national company, the focus of Deluxe is on helping small businesses. So Terri created a 12-month program for Deluxe called Project REV which enabled her to work on a hands-on basis with 20 very diverse small businesses located all over the country. The program, featured in the New York Times, helped the small businesses to figure out how to attract new customers and sustain profitable growth. (It also taught Deluxe a thing or two about small business owners!) Terri loves to teach small business owners about marketing, and has been a frequent speaker at both regional and national SCORE events
