Chela Logistics , an Elk Grove Village based transportation company was presented the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award by Reverend Jesse L. Jackson at the 34th annual Rainbow Push Coalition Conference in 2005. Earlier this year, Chela Logistics was presented by DiversityBusiness.com with the “Top Small Business” in the state of Illinois award at the 6th annual Conference in Las Vegas. The president of Chela Logistics, Marcela Orr started the company in 2001.

Consolidated Printing Company , a Chicago-based woman-owned business, received Mayor Daley’s GreenWorks Awards for Green Practices Market Transformation and Green Products Market Transformation in November 2006. In October 2006, Consolidated was also awarded the 2006 Governor’s Pollution Prevention Award. Consolidated has a long history of being an environmental leader in the printing industry. In 1997, Consolidated was the first printer awarded the title of “Illinois Great Printer.” This was a program created by the Illinois EPA along with the Great Lakes States for the prevention of pollution and the overall health of our environment.
