It’s a great time for this industry: the retail industry is predicted to have the largest job growth over the next ten years in the city of Chicago. Of the retail expenditures, more than 1/3 of it in the U.S. is made in franchise businesses. To support the growing demand for services and information in retail industries, the WBDC is offering the Retail and Franchise Program to help existing and aspiring entrepreneurs with retail and/or franchise businesses. Join us for this new and exciting initiative!

With this new program, the WBDC, with the support of the Partnership for New Communities , will increase the number and quality of retail and franchise businesses in Chicago with a special focus on Bronzeville, the South Loop, and the Near West. Parallel to the Partnership’s vision to create thriving communities with economic and racial diversity, the WBDC is helping these communities and others create a vibrant retail sector.
