Just ask Georgina Driver and Valerie Winkfield, owners of Luv That Scrub and Val’s Paper Passion. The two business owners created business plans during the “Plan for Profit” workshop series presented recently by the Women’s Business Development Center at its satellite office in Aurora. Driver says the process enabled her to learn more about regulations for operating a small manufacturing operation like hers, and the presentation practice sessions improved her sales skills. Winkfield, who uses recycled and handcrafted paper to create original art with a multicultural theme, identified and put into place several new marketing strategies which have already led to increased sales.
