Message from the CEO

The Women’s Business Development Center (‘WBDC’) extends our sincere congratulations to President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris! This is a historic moment for women and a heartening moment for every young girl in our country. As the first woman and first person of color to serve as Vice President, Vice President-Elect Harris will become the highest-ranking woman to ever serve in the U.S. government.

In August, the WBDC launched our Raising Up the Vote movement. Raising Up the Vote is focused on driving a future of fair and equitable public policy by encouraging women, minorities, and all underrepresented groups to be involved within the public policy arena. At this time, it appears that the 2020 presidential election may break a century-old record for voter turnout. We are thrilled to see so many Americans engaged in the political process, and we are dually thrilled to see record numbers of women and diverse candidates on both sides of the aisle running for – and securing – public office this year.

As we move toward 2021, we remain committed to standing up for women, minority, and veteran business owners and look forward to working with all our elected officials to enact public policy to support those we serve.

Navigating COVID-19 Services and Resources

To the WBDC Community:

The Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) is reaching out to assure our WBDC network that we are taking all possible proactive measures to support and assist our clients with the economic impact on their businesses from necessary COVID-19 containment measures.

The WBDC is actively advocating for grant and loan solutions to ensure the financial sustainability of our clients. Since this is an evolving situation, we do not have all the answers at this time, but we will continue to keep our network up to date.
