Description of Opportunity: 

The Access to Capital Program provides financing assistance, including direct lending, loan education, and loan packaging. The Advisor of the Access to Capital Program supports the day to day activities of the Access to Capital Program with an initial focus on working with small businesses during the COVID 19 crisis and aftermath activities.

REPORTS TO: Managing Director of Access to Capital Services


  • Provide technical assistance and counseling in the area of finance in both English and Spanish
  • Assist the WBDC team in the planning, coordination and delivery of workshops on financial and other business topics
  • Assist clients in loan package preparation including, but not limited to:
    • Assessing client readiness
    • Determining appropriate placement of debt or equity
    • Analyzing financial statements and tax returns
  • Promote the Access to Capital Program to prospective clients and partners
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 5 years of business and finance experience, preferred
  • High analytical and financial acumen
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate about women’s issues and economic development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance, preferred
