What inspired you to start your own business?
My dad started Bee Line as an appliance repair shop. I was inspired by him to buy the business and turned it into the commercial cleaning company it is today.
What is a business milestone or achievement that you are most proud of?
I was a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur awards in 2021. This is a prestigious award. I am proud to even receive a nomination let alone be a finalist!
What challenges have you faced as a woman business owner, and how did you overcome them?
My biggest challenge was learning to trust myself as a leader. I found myself second-guessing my instincts and deferring to my business partner’s decisions instead of confidently making my own, which limited the company’s growth. Everything changed when I bought out my partner and embraced my leadership role. By making thoughtful, strategic decisions, I more than doubled the business, proving to myself—and others—that I was fully capable of leading it to new heights.
What advice would you give to aspiring women entrepreneurs?
