Ashland Avenue and Long Life Apartments located at 344 W. 28th Place. Work will be performed in fully occupied senior citizen buildings. All care safeguards and appropriate construction sequencing must be implemented to ensure resident safety, reduce impact to building operations and minimize resident inconvenience.

Long Life Apartments, 344 W 28th Place, is a 100,877 SF, 13-story (128 ft.) structure with a reinforced concrete structural frame and masonry infill panels, constructed in 1965 on a 2.47-acre site. The site includes a service area, entry plaza, walking path, landscaped areas, parking lot, fencing, and concrete walkways. The building houses common spaces including a community room, kitchen with dining area, computer room, game room, small fitness area, washrooms, administrative offices, laundry rooms, and maintenance & mechanical spaces. The building houses 116 residential units and has radiant floor heating.

The Long Life Scope of work is to include a new NE vestibule with associated work, fabric awnings, repair cracked masonry, new sealant and expansion joints, fix spalled concrete, repair sills, tuckpointing, replace cracked brick, shelf angle work, paint exterior metal, repair crack in foundation, and roof anchors / davits.

William Jones Apartments, 1447 S. Ashland Avenue, is a 13 story CHA senior housing development located in the Pilsen community on the city’s West Side. The 2-acre site contains a high-rise building, parking area, entry plaza, green space, resident amenity spaces, and administration offices. The reinforced concrete structure was built in 1965.

The William Jones scope of work includes Tuckpointing, concrete repairs, sealant on all joints, replace bricks, sill repair, new flashing, shelf angle repairs, lintel repairs, Root anchors / Davits, and vestibule in SE corner.

Path Construction – Invitation to Bid- MWRD A/C & C/D Service Tunnel Rehabilitation-Phase IIIPath Construction is soliciting subcontractor bids for the MWRD A/C & C/D Service Tunnel Rehabilitation – Phase III. Repair and insulate the Battery A, B, C, and D Air Mains inside the operating galleries. Perform localized excavation and backfilling required for the repairs of the A/B & C/D Service Tunnels and the South R&D Tunnel. Provide earth retention as indicated and as required. Perform roadway and parking area improvements including new pavement. Install buried piping, manholes, and sumps for the tunnel drainage system. Regrade and resee the area or work.

Chicago Department of Aviation – Bid Package #5 – Terminal Landside and Parking ImprovementsThe project scope of work includes construction of a six (6) level, cast-in-place, post tension parking structure supported by two (2) helical ramps at the ends of the garage for movement between levels. The parking garage will accommodate approximately 1700 vehicles with an additional 700 vehicles in surface parking. The project will include two (2) vehicular bridges, curbside expansion access and modifications to the I-190 on-ramp. This notice of bid opportunity is for the trade packages listed below.

• Trade Package 12 Mechanical includes all work associated with the installation of the mechanical system for the garage.
• Trade Package 13 Electrical includes all work associated with the electrical system installation for the garage.
