Financial statements are the report cards of all businesses. Financial statements will tell you how much money there is, how much debt is owed, the income coming in each month, and the expenses going out the door. This workshop on financial statements will look at balance sheets, income statements, profit and loss statements (also known as income statements), and cash flow statements. Come out to learn how to read, analyze, and create financial statements so you can get a full and accurate understanding of your business’s finances.

Speaker

Leland A. White III is the president of Star Financial Services, Inc., a company he started in 1988 in his parents’ basement.  Star Financial is an accounting firm that provides a variety of services to its business and personal clients. Business services include, consulting, bookkeeping, payroll services, tax reporting, financial statement preparation and income tax preparation.

In the last 30 years Leland has worked with a wide variety of clientele, these include non-profit neighborhood organizations, small for profits companies, and governmental agencies.  He has provided accounting services for Park Districts, daycares, community based organizations, lawyers, doctors, auto mechanics, child welfare agencies, a home health care company and many more.  He has gain a great deal of experience with all types of accounting and financial reporting over the years.

Leland welcomes the opportunity to share some of his experiences and knowledge to help those starting a business.
