Request for Proposal (RFP) for Comprehensive Custodial/Window Cleaning and Related Hygiene Disposal Services for Airside (Secure) Terminals 1-3 at Chicago O’Hare International Airport

Chicago Department of Aviation

 The Contractor shall provide the City of Chicago (“City”) and the Chicago Department of Aviation (“CDA”) custodial services for O’Hare International Airport secured airside areas as outlined herein (collectively, “Services”). The Contractor is expected to provide the best-in-class custodial services that utilizes innovative and flexible management strategies to execute the Services, demonstrates its commitment to sustainability, prioritizes customer service, and operates through streamlined processes in its delivery of the Services. Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, management, and supervision to perform custodial services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year of approximately five-hundred sixty-eight thousand (568,000) square feet of restrooms, public spaces, baggage claim areas, offices, and other related spaces Airside at Terminals 1, 2, and 3 of O’Hare International Airport. Contractor shall provide labor based on full time employees working eight (8) hour shifts (not including scheduled meal breaks or other breaks). Materials, supplies, and equipment shall be of high quality, industrial grade, and meet CDA’s minimum specifications and approval. Applicable areas that Contractor shall be required to provide Services.

It is the Foundation’s intent to hire an engineering firm to provide soil management services to join this team (“Consultant”) to provide the specialized services described in this RFP.

The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and traffic protection required for structural tunnel and bridge repairs – both structural and non-structural – where directed at O’Hare and Midway International Airports.

Chicago Department of Aviation – Bid Package #5 – Terminal Landside and Parking Improvements

The project scope of work includes construction of a six (6) level, cast-in-place, post tension parking structure supported by two (2) helical ramps at the ends of the garage for movement between levels. The parking garage will accommodate approximately 1700 vehicles with an additional 700 vehicles in surface parking. The project will include two (2) vehicular bridges, curbside expansion access and modifications to the I-190 on-ramp. This notice of bid opportunity is for the trade packages listed below.

  • Trade Package 12 Mechanical includes all work associated with the installation of the mechanical system for the garage.
  • Trade Package 13 Electrical includes all work associated with the electrical system installation for the garage.
  • Trade Package 14 Plumbing includes all work associated with the plumbing system for the garage.
  • Trade Package 15 Fire Suppression includes the delegated design of the fire suppression system in accordance with NFPA 13, Chicago Building Code and Factory Mutual Loss Prevention and installation of this/these system/systems.
  • Trade Package 16 Metal Panel includes all metal panel, curtainwall, window wall, glazing and glass doors for the garage. Work further includes coordination with all trades for embeds and penetrations and exterior building faced signage.
  • Trade Package 17 General Trades generally includes, but is not limited to, the masonry, miscellaneous and ornamental metals, rough carpentry, roofing, hollow metal door frames/doors/hardware, gypsum board assemblies, ceilings, painting, flooring, signage and fire extinguisher cabinets and fire extinguishers for the garage.

Dunnet Bay Construction – The Resurrection Project

IDOT 2 – Contract 62H49 – Lagrange Rd Bridges 62H49

Location: Lagrange Rd Bridges 62H49 – Willow Springs, IL 

The improvement consists of removing and replacing the existing bridge decks with a new PCC
deck. The bridge will be widened to be 43’-6” out to out which will provide three 11’ wide lanes
with 3’-8” wide inside and outside shoulders. The existing lighting system on both northbound
bridges will be replaced and upgraded to LED luminaires. The southbound bridges will have the
existing lighting retrofit with LED luminaires. Concrete on the piers will be repaired and the steel
girders painted. Staged construction will be utilized to close the northbound structures and
northbound and southbound traffic will share the existing southbound lanes during construction.

City of Chicago – Chicago Recovery Plan Community Development Grant 

Commercial, mixed-use, and light manufacturing projects are eligible for this round of funding. (Further funding opportunities for residential-only projects are expected in Q1 2022.) Examples include storefront upgrades and renovation; large developments with entertainment, retail, and dining options; projects that create spaces with public amenities; and more. 

Applicants from all areas of Chicago are eligible to apply, with a focus on catalytic projects with a strong local impact. Priority will be given for projects in historically disinvested areas as well as projects that build upon existing efforts, such as Mayor Lightfoot’s INVEST South/West and community safety initiatives. 

 

First-round application deadline is January 31, 2022

Second-round application deadline of March 10, 2022

Third application round in the summer.

The updated plan should provide a vision for improvements in the park over time and will serve as a planning tool for the Park District and the greater community as resources become available to invest in the park. The plan must address the park’s role as a neighborhood park, a city destination, and as a public open space with national significance as a historic park. Once complete, the plan will be the guiding document that outlines priorities and ensures that improvements are implemented in a coordinated manner with respect to the historic integrity of the park and the evolving needs of the community.

USDA Forest Service – GAOA Willow Creek Bridge Replacement- Sawtooth – This is a PRE-SOLICITATION Announcement. 

The USDA Forest Service is seeking construction services to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for the replacement of Willow Creek Bridge located in the Fairfield Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest. This project is located on FS Road 70227; Elmore County; Township 7 North, Range 14 East, Section 25; approximately 7 miles east of Featherville, Idaho. This project consists of removing an existing nail laminated timber bridge and abutments, furnishing, and installing a new steel superstructure, concrete grade beams, a gravel wear surface on bridge and approaches, installing riprap, and installing 4 Type 3 object markers on glued-laminated guard posts.  No stream crossings will be allowed and as such, contractor should be prepared to have equipment on both sides of the stream. This procurement is a 100% Woman or Women Owned Small Business set-aside.
