2020 Chicago Women’s March

11 am March begins in Grant Park
Three years ago, on January 21, 2017, 250,000 women came together in Chicago for the Women’s March. This was one of more than 670 marches around the world. On that day, more than 7 million women and their families marched to support women’s rights and empowerment. Many of you marched with us, the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC), in 2017. With the anniversary of the 2017 Women’s March, the WBDC along with many of our sister organizations will again march on January 18th, 2020.
We would like to invite you to join us again this year. The national theme of the 2020 Women’s March is “to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change.” In Chicago, the March will focus on five topics: the 2020 Census; climate change; gun violence prevention; women’s health rights and access; and Get Out The Vote efforts. Women’s economic empowerment and independence is the hallmark of the mission of the WBDC and we know the economic and political power and leadership of women.
Please join us in participating in this year’s march! The March will step off in Grant Park at 11 am and move to Federal Plaza.
Hope to see you on the 18th!
