Candice Warltier

Founder and CEO, CS-Effect

Welcome to our WBE Spotlight Series! Today, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Candice Warltier, Founder and CEO of CS-Effect. Join us as we delve into Candice’s entrepreneurial journey and uncover the driving force behind her success in the strategic communications and marketing industry.

What inspired you to start your own business?

People call me an “accidental entrepreneur”. After years of working at a small agency we were gobbled up by an international firm. They reorganized and I was out of a job. I was approached by clients to continue our work together. Since then the company has grown exponentially, bringing on employees and partnering with many different companies, associations and nonprofit organizations.

What challenges have you faced as a woman business owner, and how did you overcome them?

I’ve faced many of the same challenges as other business owners. One of the biggest challenges is growth. I’ve always been committed to keeping my employees even through the toughest times. They are the backbone of the company so if I need to make cuts I figure out a way to make them elsewhere.

What advice would you give to aspiring women entrepreneurs?

My strongest piece of advice is to surround yourself with people who have different talents and strengths than you have.
