Own Your Worth: A Negotiation Webinar
May 25, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
No CostJoin the Illinois SBDC at the WBDC and Amanda R. Moncada-Perkins of Stoutegy Law as Amanda offers advice on negotiating. A negotiation is nothing more than a structured discussion between two or more people. The clearer you are about your goals and the more prepared you are for your discussion, the more comfortable you feel about asking for what you want. In this webinar, we will cover the fundamentals of negotiating, such as mindset, misconceptions, and stages of negotiating, and we’ll discuss techniques to help ease the negotiating angst to help you better advocate for yourself.
Amanda R. Moncada-Perkins is the founding attorney of Stoutegy Law, a Chicago-based corporate law firm with a mission to provide space for talented Women attorneys and excellent legal counsel for Women business leaders.
Amanda is a former second-grade teacher, turned corporate and finance attorney and negotiating phenom. Her experience ranges from teaching seven-year-old children multiplication and division (using orange and apple prop aids) to closing multimillion-dollar corporate deals for Fortune 500 companies. And, she is proud of it all.
Amanda serves as an adjunct legal writing professor at DePaul Law, teaching future lawyers how to write excellent contracts and provide conscious counsel to their clients. Amanda also runs a business consulting practice through which she empowers successful, ambitious, Women-led companies around the country to improve their operations and systems to create sustainable and profitable businesses.
There is no cost, but registration is required.
