Lisa-Jae Eggert

Founder, 3 Moms Organics LLC

Welcome to our WBE Spotlight Series! Today, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Lisa-Jae Eggert, Founder of 3 Moms Organics LLC. Join us as we delve into Lisa-Jae’s entrepreneurial journey and uncover the inspirational story behind her success in the manufacturing industry.

Lisa-Jae Eggert’s journey into entrepreneurship began with a health crisis – she almost died from a tick-borne disease, facing a myriad of diagnoses. The use of additional repellents only worsened her neurological Lyme disease, leaving her in a desperate situation. Driven to protect her family and herself, Lisa-Jae was determined to find a solution to create a natural alternative to chemical repellents. Her product was not only better for people and the planet but also provided the safety her family needed, quickly gaining traction in the wider community. Realizing the demand for safe alternatives, Lisa-Jae launched 3 Moms Organics LLC in April 2018 and truly took off in 2021 after completing the rigorous registration process. Her natural repellent, registered in all fifty states and meeting stringent EPA requirements, proved to be as effective as traditional products.

Lisa-Jae began working with the WBDC through the WBENC certification process and the Top Shelf Retail Spring 2022 cohort, facilitated by Cynthia Johnson. Lisa-Jae also worked closely with Karen Goldner in 1-on-1 advising sessions, where she learned to pitch her product effectively, navigate profit margins, and steer more traffic to her website. The guidance and resources from WBDC helped Lisa-Jae transition from pumping bottles in her basement to partnering with a contract manufacturer in Indiana, significantly scaling her production. The WBDC programs offered Lisa more than just business growth; they provided a sense of community and support. The classes and advisor meetings equipped her with the knowledge and confidence to advocate for small businesses and engage with lawmakers.

Lisa-Jae’s business saw remarkable growth, with a 100% increase in the first three years and a 50% increase in the subsequent years. Her involvement with organizations like the National Retail Federation and Center for Lyme Action further amplified her impact, allowing her to speak on behalf of small businesses and promote her product effectively. Lisa-Jae’s entrepreneurial journey is a testament to the power of resilience, innovation, and community support. Her journey from a health crisis to a thriving business not only highlights her determination but also underscores the importance of organizations like WBDC in empowering women entrepreneurs. Through her work, Lisa-Jae continues to inspire and support other women, solidifying her belief that she is on the right track. The networking opportunities and ongoing support from WBDC have been instrumental in her success, proving that with the right resources and guidance, anything is possible.
